
Conferencing Police - FREEZE!
Ya see this guy? Just when you think technologies like conferencing are making the world a better place, along comes a politician who wants to make illegal the use of conference calling for government agencies to hold official meetings in his state. Of course, when you realize that the state is not-so-advanced Rhode Island (home formerly to yours truly and Buddy Cianci who's now sitting in the pokey) and the fact that the politician sponsoring such pathetic legislation went to the internationally acclaimed twin paragons of higher learning Roger Williams College and Roger Williams Law School, well, it's a bit more understandeable, but it's certainly not acceptable, and for those of you who agree, let's let Pawtucket-based Rep. Peter Kilmartin know of your opinions. This guy problably doesn't even let his kids play with Walkie Talkies. Here's his contact information:
